A special composition was made for the painting โSonic Network no.11โ which is now on permanent display in theย Hamer Hall of the Victorian Arts Centre, Melbourne.
In this collaboration, Brian May takes into consideration the structure and composition of the painting, emulating the moirรฉ (wave-like) patterns, which are demonstrated via audio interference of the sine waves (known as beat frequencies) in the sound piece. The sine wave tones created are thus audio representations of the circular forms, geometric shapes and reverberating patterns in โSonic Network no.11โ.
The audio can be heard online via the Hamer Hallโs audio guide using any wi-fi enabled device.
